The newspaper provides readers with global economic and commercial information, economic analysis and comments, and the financial index of London stock market founded by the newspaper is well-known. It is a global financial newspaper with more than 1.6 million readers in four print editions in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia, and its main website has as many as 3.9 million online readers per month. In July 2015, Pearson group announced that its financial times was acquired by Nikkei, a Japanese media company, for 844 million pounds ($1.31 billion).
